Flea Makret

Recently was informed by a friend of mine about a flea market in conjunction with the current Singapore River Festival @ Timbre. Well, frankly speaking when the moment he called me on the phone asking me if I have photos to sell, I was quite caught back and was confused at that moment.
But having replying "yes" to him, I am not sure if I am capable of setting up a flea market which I have none / Zero experience in such events. Soon later, the organiser , Ben, called me and settled the agreement stuff as well with emails of the location and the allocated spots.
As it was a last min confirmation, I rallied all my contacts which I then notice that I have only a hand full.
Contacted them and none was interested in chipping in stuff for the flea market. Some agreed in the beginning but later informed me that it was too rush for them to get together all the things they have for sale. Feeling quite despair, just have to make do with the current things which I have brought down for sale.
A very pathetic list for sale:
  1. underused telescope
  2. gundam model mastergrade
  3. a collection of Sesame Street Push Toy missing the Count
  4. 4 A3 size photos mount on with frame taken by me
  5. 5 set of 17 postcards which I did out yesterday
Yup there you go, such a small amount of things to sell as compared to the heaps and mountain of clothes on my left and right hand side stalls. They are selling clothings and bags for the females, while I am suppose to be selling male stuffs.
Together with me at the stall was a poly friend of mine, Jisheng. I was very mean as he is down with illness and yet I ask him to tag along to accompany me. Feeling very bad as at the flea market was humid, quite boring. Worse is that I myself is not a very good talker so hard to strike conversation with him which made me feel that he is feeling very bored as he started to play his PC games.

Well the event started from 6pm to 11pm. But as you know at work so I was there at 7 pm and left about 15min to 11pm.
During that period, things start to come into my mind. Why am I doing this? Answers started to appear:
  1. for the experience
  2. train to overcome my fear of presenting
  3. earn some money
Well, i have even thought that this is a waste of time and money as the money which I have spend of fabricating the stuff for sale is not worth and not sure if i am able to get back. Having said this, the stall selling female stuffs on my left has already sold off at least 10 items and her friends came down to restock the rack.

Well, since I have agreed to the flea market then I have to endure to the last day which is on the friday. Should not regret rite.
I am also sorry to my mother who will be fetching me home from the mrt near my house at around 11plus. I feel so bad making her to lose her sleep just to fetch me. But if not there will no buses to my house at that hour.
Sorry and Thank you Mum.

Well, today is another long wait. I brought along my black friend to see if we can capture something together.

Tomorrow then.
Or perhaps later to talk about some other things
